The new RAV4 Hybrid is available both as a traditional hybrid, and the RAV4 Prime, a plug-in hybrid. With the hybrid edition, you're going to find a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired up with two electric motors to provide 219 horsepower overall. It comes standard with all-wheel drive as one electric motor powers the rear wheels, while the other powers the engine and front wheels. The RAV4 Prime's plug-in hybrid engine offers the same power output, but it uses an 18.1-kWh battery pack to provide an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 42 miles.
