The Toyota Grand Highlander has three powertrains for drivers to consider. The base model has a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine that can produce 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This is the same engine found in the standard Toyota Highlander.

The Toyota Grand Highlander also features a hybrid powertrain system, noticed the Grand Highlander hybrid. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is coupled with an electric motor hybrid system and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
